Drop in a photo and it comes back improved, with nothing to set. The auto enhancer looks at the picture once and fixes what it finds: a dull, grey look from a phone in bad light, a dark shot taken against a window, an orange tint from indoor lamps or a blue one from shade. The result appears straight away and is ready to download at the original size.
The panel has one control, Strength. At 100% every correction is applied; slide it down if you want only part of the change, or to 0% to see the untouched original. Press and hold the split-square button in the corner of the picture (or hold B) to flip back to the original while you decide. The i button lists what was corrected on this photo: white balance, levels, exposure, contrast and color.
Five corrections are worked out from the picture itself. The white balance is read from the parts of the photo that should be grey or white, so a lamp cast is neutralised while a green forest or an orange sunset keeps its color. The darkest and brightest tones are stretched to true black and white, which clears haze and flat contrast. A photo that is too dark is lifted in the midtones without blowing out the shadows, and a very bright one is pulled back a little. Contrast is added only if the tones are still flat after that, and colors get a gentle vibrance boost that goes to muted areas rather than already strong ones.
Every step is capped, so a photo that is already well exposed comes out almost the same. For hand control of a single thing, the contrast, vibrance, gamma and color temperature tools each do one adjustment with a slider.
Download the enhanced photo as JPG, PNG or WebP. A JPG you upload is offered back as JPG by default; PNG keeps transparency, and the transparent parts of an image are never counted when the photo is measured. You can rename the file before saving, copy the result straight to the clipboard, or share it from a phone. The output has the same width and height as the photo you opened.
Photos that need enhancing are usually personal ones: a family shot in a dim room, a picture of your home, a scan of an old print. Here the measuring and the correcting both run in your browser on your own device. The photo is never uploaded, there is no account, and closing the tab leaves nothing behind.
It should not. Each correction has a limit and a zone where it does nothing at all, so a photo that already has full contrast, neutral color and normal brightness is changed very little. If you still prefer the original, lower Strength or hold the compare button to check.
The color correction only listens to the parts of the picture that could be grey, white or black. A sunset or a field of flowers has almost none of those, so its color is taken as intended and kept.
Yes. The Strength slider scales every correction together, from 0% (the original) to 100% (the full automatic result). The download uses the same setting you see on screen.
