This free GIF cropper cuts an animated GIF down to the part you want, on every frame at once. Open the GIF and its first frame appears with a crop box on it; drag the corners or edges, move the box, lock an aspect ratio from the list, or type the exact width and height in pixels. Reset puts the box back. The download is a GIF of the boxed area only, with every frame cropped identically, the frame timing and loop setting untouched. It trims a black border off a converted video, turns a wide screen recording into a square for social media, or pulls one face out of a group reaction GIF.
Free mode gives you eight handles and any shape. Locking a ratio - square, 4:3, 3:2, 16:9, 9:16 for stories, 4:5 for portrait posts, 2:3 - keeps the box in that shape while you resize from a corner. The width and height fields show the crop in real pixels of the GIF and accept typed values; with a ratio locked, typing one side sets the other. A rule-of-thirds grid appears while you drag.
GIFs often store frames as small patches over the previous one, so the tool composites the animation the way a browser plays it before cropping, and every output frame is the complete picture inside the box. The cropped GIF is re-encoded with one shared palette, keeps its transparency, and plays exactly as long as the original. To change the size without cutting anything off, use the /resize-gif/ tool.
