A doughnut chart is a pie chart with the centre cut out, and that hole is useful: it holds the total. Type your categories and amounts into the table, a monthly budget, time per project or sales per region, and the ring is drawn with each segment's share printed on it and the sum written large in the middle. It is the donut graph dashboards use because it reads cleanly at small sizes and leaves room for that one key number.
Six palettes set the colours in one click, and each swatch next to the palette changes one segment. The legend lists every category; the Values switch hides the percentages for a quieter look. Segments are separated by a thin gap in the background colour, which also works on a dark background. For a full pie without the hole, use the pie chart maker; a treemap packs many categories better than a ring.
Copy two columns from Excel or Google Sheets and paste them into the top-left cell, or drop a CSV file on the page. Zero and negative rows are skipped. All 14 chart types are on the chart maker.
