Pick what the code should open, fill in the fields, and the QR code is drawn as you type. Website link is the default: paste an address, and if you leave out the https:// part it is added for you, because a bare "example.com" scans as plain text on most phones. The other choices in the list are Text (any language, emoji included), Wi-Fi network, Email, Phone call, SMS message and Contact card. Point a phone camera at the preview on your screen to test it before you print anything. The code is a static QR code: everything it says is inside the pattern itself, so it never expires, needs no account and keeps working even if this website disappears. There is no tracking link in between and no scan counter, which is exactly why it cannot stop working.
For a Wi-Fi QR code, type the network name and the password, choose WPA (right for almost every home and office router, WPA2 and WPA3 included), WEP or None for an open network, and switch on Hidden if the network does not broadcast its name. Guests scan it and join without typing the password. Characters that have a meaning in the Wi-Fi format, like a semicolon or a colon in the password, are escaped for you. Email opens a new message with the address, subject and text already filled in. Phone call starts a call to the number, SMS message opens a text with the number and message ready, and Contact card saves a name, phone, email, company and website to the phone's contacts in one tap.
Tap the Code and Background swatches to colour the QR code. Scanners need a strong contrast, so a warning appears under the swatches when the colours are too close, or when the code is lighter than its background, which some scanner apps cannot read. Logo puts your image in the middle of the code on a small patch of the background colour. That hides a few modules, so with a logo the error correction switches to H, the level that lets a scanner rebuild up to 30% of the code. Without a logo, More options lets you choose it yourself: L, M (the default), Q or H. A higher level makes the pattern denser but survives scratches, dirt and folds, which matters on a sticker or a printed flyer. The same drawer sets the quiet zone, the empty border scanners need around the code (4 modules is the standard), and the PNG size.
PNG saves a square image at the size you choose, from 256 to 4096 pixels, with every module edge on a whole pixel so the squares stay sharp. SVG saves the code as vector shapes that scale to any size without blurring, the right format for print, a large banner, or a logo designer who needs to place the code in a layout. Copy puts the PNG on the clipboard for pasting into a document or a slide, and on a phone Share sends it straight to another app.
The QR code is built in your browser, not on a server. Your Wi-Fi password, a contact card with your phone number or a private link is never sent anywhere, and the logo you add stays on your device. Close the tab and nothing is left behind unless you downloaded it.
No. A static QR code holds its content in the pattern itself, so it works for as long as the printed or saved image exists. Codes that expire come from services that put a short redirect link inside the code and switch it off when a subscription ends.

Yes. Tap Logo, choose an image, and it is placed in the centre on a patch of the background colour. The error correction is set to H automatically so the code still scans. Test it with your phone before printing, and remove the logo with the small cross if a scanner struggles.
The most common causes are low contrast between the code and background colours, a light code on a dark background, a quiet zone set too small, or a code printed too small for the amount of content. Dark on light with the default quiet zone of 4 modules is the safest choice, and a long text needs a larger print than a short link.
Up to 2953 bytes at error correction L, 2331 at M, 1663 at Q and 1273 at H. A letter or digit is one byte, while accented letters, Cyrillic and emoji take two to four. The more content, the denser the pattern, so keep links short when you can.
