Camera RAW files are the one photo format computers refuse to open: Windows and macOS preview them inconsistently or not at all, and the usual answer is installing Adobe software. This viewer opens them right in the browser instead. Drop a Canon CR2, Nikon NEF, Sony ARW or Adobe DNG on the page and the photo appears at once: nearly every out-of-camera RAW carries a full embedded preview, which shows instantly, while the true development from sensor data replaces it within seconds. Everything runs locally on your device with LibRaw compiled to WebAssembly; the file is never uploaded anywhere.
A RAW file is unprocessed sensor data, and showing it faithfully means developing it: demosaicing the Bayer pattern into full color, applying the camera's white balance, and converting to sRGB for the screen. That is exactly what happens here, with the same LibRaw engine desktop converters use. The default half-size development is fast and plenty for judging a shot; switch to full resolution when you want to inspect detail at 100%. The info button shows what the camera recorded - model, ISO, shutter speed, aperture, focal length and capture time - straight from the RAW metadata.
The viewer reads the RAW formats of every major system: Canon CR2 and CR3, Nikon NEF and NRW, Sony ARW, Adobe DNG (including phone and drone DNGs), Olympus ORF, Panasonic RW2, Fujifilm RAF, Pentax PEF, Samsung SRW, plus Leica, Hasselblad, Phase One, Sigma and other formats LibRaw understands - the list covers hundreds of camera models. If a file will not open, it is usually a very new camera whose format support is still propagating through LibRaw releases.
The Download button exports the developed image as JPG by default - the practical format for a photo - with PNG and WebP in the menu. That quietly covers the other thing people need from a RAW file: turning a CR2 or NEF into something shareable without a converter install. For further work, the exported image drops straight into the converter, resize or compress tools, and other file types open in the rest of the viewers.

Fast develops the photo at half its pixel dimensions, which takes a few seconds and is plenty for judging exposure, color and composition. Full resolution runs the complete demosaic at the sensor's native size for pixel-level inspection - on very large files it takes noticeably longer.
No. The RAW engine runs as WebAssembly inside your browser, so decoding, display and export all happen on your device. Client shoots and unpublished work stay private.
