This free GIF resizer changes the size of an animated GIF without touching the animation itself. Open the GIF and it starts at half size, which is what most people want; type a width or a height with the aspect ratio locked, unlock it for a free shape, or switch to Percent and pull the slider anywhere from 10% to 200%. The preview plays the resized animation, and the panel shows the pixel size and the file size before and after. It shrinks a GIF for a chat or a forum with a size limit, fits one into an email signature, or makes a small sticker GIF big enough to see.
The tool decodes every frame, scales each one and encodes them back with the same frame delays, loop setting and transparent areas, so the resized GIF plays exactly as long as the original. Making a GIF smaller also makes the file much smaller, usually more than the change in dimensions suggests, because every frame has fewer pixels to store. To make a GIF lighter without changing its size, the /reduce-gif-frames/ page thins the frames instead.
Shrinking uses smooth, high-quality resampling, so photos and screen recordings stay clean. Enlarging by a whole number - 200%, 300% - uses pixel-exact scaling instead, so pixel art and tiny emotes stay crisp instead of blurring. Any other enlargement is smoothed.
Your GIF never leaves your device. It is decoded, resized and re-encoded entirely inside your browser; nothing is uploaded, there is no signup and no watermark, and once the page is open the tool even works offline.

Reducing the pixel size is the biggest lever: half the width and height is about a quarter of the pixels per frame. If the dimensions must stay, use the /reduce-gif-frames/ tool to keep fewer frames.
Shrinking discards pixels by nature but is resampled smoothly, so it looks clean. Enlarging cannot add detail; whole-number enlargements keep pixel art sharp, anything else is smoothed.
Sizes up to 4096 pixels a side, and the whole animation - width times height times frames - has to fit the browser's memory budget. Very long GIFs at large sizes will tell you when they do not.
