A solid color image is one colour from edge to edge and nothing else. This solid color image generator makes one at any size: click the swatch to pick a colour, or type or paste a hex code like #1c2024 into the field next to it, choose a size, and press Download. The preview is your image, scaled to fit the screen. It is a single color image generator, a solid colour maker and a plain background maker in one - generate a plain white image with #ffffff, a black one with #000000, or any shade between - and it is ready the moment the page opens - the default is a Full HD 1920 × 1080 image in a calm blue.
The size presets cover the places a plain colour usually ends up: 1920 × 1080, 2560 × 1440, 4K and 5K desktop wallpapers, phone wallpapers for iPhone and Android, an iPad wallpaper, a 1080 × 1920 story, square and portrait social posts, a 1200 × 630 link preview, a YouTube thumbnail and X and LinkedIn header banners. Pick one, or type any width and height up to 8192 pixels. A solid color wallpaper keeps a desktop or lock screen calm and makes the icons easy to read; a solid colour background is a clean base for a slide, a video frame, a product shot or a design you will build on later. The hex field takes a code with or without the #, in the long form (#4a90e2) or the short one (#49e), and the image follows as you type. The picker has its own hex box too. A PNG keeps the colour exactly - every pixel in the file is the RGB value of the hex code you chose, which matters when a background has to match a brand colour or a colour in another design.
Download saves the image at exactly the size you set. PNG is exact and the best choice when the colour must match; JPG is the most compatible format for wallpapers and phones; WebP suits the web. A flat colour compresses to a small file in all three. Copy puts the image on the clipboard, and on a phone Share sends it to another app, so a new wallpaper can go straight to the Photos app.
Nothing is uploaded: the image is painted and saved in your browser from the colour and size you set, so it works offline and there is nothing for a server to keep.
