This free SVG to JPG converter turns an SVG file into a JPG (the same format as JPEG) right in your browser. Open the SVG, or paste SVG code straight from an editor or a web page, choose the size, and press Download JPG. The file keeps its name with the .jpg extension. There is no signup, no watermark and nothing is uploaded.
JPG is the format every phone, printer, office program and upload form accepts, which is why a logo, icon or chart made as a vector so often has to become a JPG before it can be sent, posted or printed. If you need the transparent background kept, use /svg-to-png/ instead: PNG can store transparency and JPG cannot.
An SVG has no pixels of its own, so converting it means deciding how big the picture should be. The converter reads the size written in the file and shows it under Size in pixels at 2x by default. Tap 1x for the size the SVG declares, 3x or 4x for a larger JPG, or type any width or height: the other side follows so the drawing is never stretched.
Every size is drawn fresh from the vector, so a 4x JPG has clean, sharp edges instead of a small picture blown up. That is the reason to convert from the SVG rather than enlarge an existing JPG: text, lines and curves stay crisp at any resolution, which matters for print and for high resolution screens.
JPG has no transparency, so the empty parts of the SVG have to be filled. They are white by default, the way a logo looks on a page; tap the Background colour swatch to pick any other colour, for example the colour of the slide or website the JPG will sit on.
The Quality slider sets the JPEG compression. 90 is a good default that is hard to tell from the original; lower values make smaller files for chat and email, 100 keeps the most detail. Flat graphics with sharp edges show compression sooner than photos do, so keep the quality high for logos and text.
SVG files describe their size in many ways, and the converter reads all of them: pixels, millimetres, centimetres, inches, points and em, a viewBox alone, or no size at all (then it starts at 300 x 150 pixels, the same as a browser, and you set the width you want). Compressed .svgz files open too, and so does SVG code copied from a web page without its namespace line.
A browser draws an SVG file in a closed box: images linked from other files and web fonts are not loaded. When a file links any, a note under the controls says so. Embed those images in the file, or convert the text to paths in your editor, to keep them. Animated SVGs are converted as their first frame. For other image formats, such as PNG to JPG or WebP to JPG, use the /converter/.
An SVG is often a logo, a client's artwork or an unreleased design, and it can carry hidden layers, comments and metadata. Here the file is read and drawn by your own browser: nothing is sent to a server, nothing is stored, and the JPG is saved straight to your device.

JPG cannot store transparency, so the see-through parts of the SVG are filled with a colour, white unless you pick another one with the Background colour swatch. To keep the transparency, convert the SVG to PNG instead.
Browsers draw an SVG file without loading anything from outside it, so linked images and web fonts are left out and text falls back to a font on your device. The converter tells you when a file links such things; embed the images in the SVG or turn the text into paths before converting.
