This webtoon layout generator makes the one thing a vertical comic needs before you draw: a tall column of panels at the width the platform wants. Press Create a webtoon layout and a strip appears at 800 px, the WEBTOON canvas width, with numbered panels stacked down the scroll and white space between them. Press New layout for another arrangement, pick a Pacing, set how many Panels the episode has and how wide the Gap between panels is.
It is a free webtoon template maker and layout kit in one page: no signup, no watermark, nothing uploaded. Use the empty strip as a thumbnail plan for an episode, or fill it with finished art and download it ready to post.
On a phone the scroll is the timing. A short gap reads as the next instant; a long stretch of white is a pause, a scene change or the breath before a reveal. That is why the gap slider is on the main panel and why the Slow pacing spaces its beats further apart. Side-by-side panels are used sparingly, the way vertical comics use them: as punctuation between full-width frames, not as a page grid squeezed into a column.
More panels make a longer episode, never thinner panels: the strip grows as you add beats, just like a real chapter does. If you are laying out a printed page instead, the manga panel generator builds fixed-size pages at 300 DPI.
Platforms do not accept one endless image. WEBTOON Canvas wants each file at most 800 x 1280 px, so the ZIP download is a webtoon splitter too: the strip is cut into numbered slices no taller than the Slice height you choose under More options (1280, 1600 or 2000 px). Each cut is placed in a gap between panels whenever one is close enough, so no panel is broken across two files; only a frame taller than the slice itself is cut through. The red dashed lines on the preview show exactly where the cuts fall, and they never appear in the download.
Slices with your pictures are saved as JPG to stay under upload size limits; an empty template is saved as PNG. The long-image download keeps the whole strip in one file for your own archive or for another splitter.
Your artwork never leaves your device. The pictures you place are read by your browser, drawn into the strip and cut into slices on your own computer or phone, so unpublished pages of a comic are never sent to a server.
For WEBTOON the standard width is 800 px, and each uploaded image can be up to 1280 px tall. Tapas uses 940 px and Lezhin 690 px. Many artists draw at a larger width, such as 1600 px, and scale down on export; the 1080 px option gives a sharper master file.
Choose the ZIP download. The strip is cut into numbered slices no taller than the slice height, cutting in the white gaps between panels, and the files are named in order so they upload in the right sequence.
Yes. Tap any panel to choose a picture for it; it fills the frame and is cropped to the panel shape. Pick several files at once to fill the panels in reading order. Pressing New layout keeps your pictures in the same order.
Yes. Keep Panel numbers on and download the empty strip as a PNG, then open it in Clip Studio Paint, Procreate, Krita or any drawing app and draw on top of the frames.
No. Everything, from the layout to the slicing and the ZIP, happens in your browser, so your unpublished comic stays on your device.
