A bar graph is the quickest way to compare amounts side by side: sales per month, votes per option, scores per team. Type your categories into the first column of the table and the values next to them, and the bars are drawn as you type, on a clean grid with a rounded top on each bar. The heading of each value column is the name of that series in the legend. Add a column with the Column button to put two or three bars next to each other in every group, the double bar graph that compares this year with last year, and switch Values on to print the number on top of every bar.
With more than one series the bars stand in groups by default. Open More options and turn on Stacked to pile the series on top of each other instead, so the height of each column is the total and the coloured parts show what it is made of. Negative values are drawn below the zero line in both modes. The axis picks round steps by itself and shortens big numbers to 120k or 3.4M.
Copy the cells in Excel or Google Sheets, headings included, and paste them into the top-left cell of the table: the whole table is replaced and the chart follows. A CSV file dropped on the page works the same way. Six palettes set the colours in one click, and each swatch can be changed to any colour you like. The same data can be seen as a line graph or an area chart with one tap on the chart type strip, and the chart maker has all 14 types.
PNG is saved at 2400 pixels wide, sharp in slides and reports; SVG keeps the bars and text as vectors for print or further editing; JPG is there for places that only take photos. On a phone the share button sends the chart straight to an app. Nothing you type is uploaded: the table, the chart and the file you download stay in your browser, there is no sign-up and no watermark.
Add a second value column with the Column button and give it a heading. Each category then gets two bars side by side in two colours, and the legend names both series.
