This free Discord PFP cropper shows your photo under the same circular mask Discord puts on every avatar, so you frame the shot against the real thing instead of guessing. Drag the picture to position it, and zoom with the slider, the mouse wheel or a two finger pinch - the zoom follows your cursor or fingers the way a map does. Whatever sits inside the circle is exactly what servers will see; the dimmed corners are the part of the square file Discord hides.
An avatar that looks great big often turns to mush at chat size. While you position the photo, the panel shows it live at the sizes Discord actually renders: the large profile circle, the 40 pixel chat avatar next to your messages, and the tiny member list dot. If your face or logo is still recognizable in the smallest circle, it will read well everywhere - that is the check most people skip and the reason so many avatars look like noise in chat.
Discord wants a square image, recommends at least 128x128 pixels, and displays avatars up to 1024x1024. This tool exports at 512x512, which is sharp for every normal use, or 1024x1024 if you want the maximum Discord will serve. Both come out far below Discord's upload limit, and you can save the result as PNG, JPG or WebP - Discord accepts all three. Uploading a bigger image than you need costs nothing but gains nothing either; Discord converts and rescales everything on its side.
Server icons, bot avatars and webhook faces all use the same square file behind a circular mask, so the same crop works for every one of them. If what you actually want is to grab an existing avatar rather than make one, the Discord PFP Viewer fetches any user's current picture full size.
