People say "image size" and mean three different measurements. Dimensions are the width and height in pixels, which decide how sharp an image can look and whether it fits a slot. File size is how many kilobytes or megabytes it occupies on disk, which is what upload limits care about. Megapixels are simply width times height in millions, the camera spec. This tool reports all three side by side, so whichever your form, printer or client asked about, the number is here.
The panel also converts the pixel dimensions to a real world print size at 300 DPI, the standard for sharp photo prints, in both inches and centimeters. That answers the classic question of how large a photo can be printed: a 4000 × 3000 pixel shot makes a crisp 13.3 × 10 inch print. For screen use the pixel dimensions themselves are what matter.

Pixels measure the picture itself: how many dots wide and tall it is. KB and MB measure the file on disk, which depends on both the pixels and the compression. Two images with identical pixel dimensions can differ enormously in KB, which is why forms specify limits for both.
Megapixels are the width times the height divided by a million: a 4032 × 3024 photo is 12.2 MP. The tool calculates it automatically and shows it alongside the other numbers.
Divide the pixel dimensions by 300 for a sharp print in inches; the tool does this for you and shows the result in inches and centimeters. A 3000 pixel side prints crisply at 10 inches. Larger prints are possible at lower DPI when viewed from farther away.
