Open a photo, type the top text, type the bottom text, and the meme is done. The words appear on the picture as you type, in the classic meme lettering: white Impact capitals with a heavy black outline, centred across the top and bottom edges. Press Download and you get your picture at its original resolution with the text drawn into it. There is no signup, no watermark and no template gallery to scroll through: any photo you have, a screenshot, a pet picture or a frame from a video, becomes the meme.
Leave either field empty for a meme with a single line, and use the Top and bottom / Caption switch above the fields for the other common layout.
There is no size slider because there is nothing to set. Each line starts large, about an eighth of the picture's shorter side, and if it is too long for the width it wraps onto a second and third line and gets smaller until it fits, outline included. A short punchline stays big; a long setup shrinks just enough to sit inside the picture. The gap from the edge scales with the image, so a phone photo and a 4000 pixel camera shot come out with the same proportions.
Impact only ships on Windows and macOS. On Android, Linux and Chromebooks the page brings its own matching face, so the meme looks the same on every device, not just the one it was made on.
The newer style puts the joke above the picture instead of on it: a white bar with black text, the picture untouched underneath. Switch to Caption, type the line, and the bar grows to fit however many lines it needs while the words keep their normal capitals. It suits reaction pictures and screenshots, where text over the image would hide the thing everyone should see.
The download matches the picture you opened: a JPG photo comes back as a JPG, a PNG screenshot as a PNG, and WebP is in the menu too. Copy puts the finished meme on the clipboard for pasting straight into a chat, and on a phone the result screen can share it to an app directly. You can rename the file before saving it.
For text anywhere else on a picture, in other fonts and colours, dragged and rotated freely, use Add Text to Image. Memes are often made from photos of friends, family and group chats that were never meant to leave them. Here the picture is opened, lettered and saved entirely inside your browser: it is never uploaded, never stored and never seen by anyone but you.

A long line is shrunk and wrapped onto up to three lines so it stays inside the picture instead of running off the edge. Shorter text stays larger, so splitting a long joke between the top and the bottom keeps both halves big.
