Merge Images Into One Picture

This free photo merger joins two or more photos into a single image, entirely in your browser. Put 2 pictures in one frame side by side, stack images vertically, or combine 3, 4 or more photos in a grid - the classic 2x2 four photo merge, up to eight columns. Set the spacing between images, choose the background color or keep it transparent, put the photos in the order you want, then download the merged image as a PNG, JPG or WebP. The photo merger composites at full resolution: two 4000 pixel wide photos joined side by side come out 8000 pixels wide, never shrunk to fit a preview.

How to Combine Images Online

  1. Add your photos. Click Select images and pick several files at once, drop them anywhere on the page, or paste from the clipboard. You can add more at any time, up to 30.
  2. Pick a layout. Horizontal places the images next to each other, Vertical stacks them top to bottom, and Grid arranges them in rows and columns - choose how many columns.
  3. Set the order. Drag a photo right on the preview and drop it where it belongs - the other pictures make room as you go. The thumbnails show the merge order too, with arrows to move a photo and a cross to take one out.
  4. Adjust spacing and background. Under More options, the spacing slider adds a gap between the pictures and the background color fills it - or switch on the transparent background for a PNG with real gaps.
  5. Download. Save the combined image in one click, at the full size of your originals.

Side by Side, Stacked, or a Grid

Merging images horizontally is the classic before-and-after: two screenshots next to each other, product variants in a row, or a comparison strip. Merging vertically works like an image stacker - it can concatenate a tall sequence of screenshots or steps into one long picture. The grid combines multiple photos into a compact photo collage: four photos in a 2x2, six in a 3x2, or any arrangement your column count gives.

When the photos are different sizes, you decide how to concat them. Match heights (or match widths when stacking) scales every image to the same edge so the strip lines up seamlessly. Keep original leaves every photo at its own pixel size and centers the smaller ones. In grid mode every image gets an identical cell sized to the largest photo, so the rows and columns stay aligned.

Full Resolution, Always

Many online mergers quietly render the download at screen size, and a pair of 12 megapixel photos comes back as a small preview-sized file. This tool never does that: the preview you drag and arrange is a scaled copy, but the downloaded file is composited from the original pixels of every source image. The merged result is only ever reduced if it exceeds what a browser canvas can hold (16384 pixels a side or 64 megapixels), and the tool tells you when that happens.

How do I put 2 pictures in one image?

Add both photos, leave the layout on Horizontal, and download. The two pictures are merged side by side into a single image at their full size. Switch to Vertical if you want one above the other, and use the spacing slider if you want a visible divider between them.

How do I combine 4 photos into one?

Add the four pics and choose the Grid layout with 2 columns - that gives the classic 2x2 collage. Drag the photos on the preview (or use the thumbnail arrows) to set which one lands in which cell: the grid fills left to right, top to bottom.

Will merging reduce the quality of my photos?

No. The output is composited from the original pixels, so nothing is recompressed or downscaled during the merge. Download as PNG for lossless output, or JPG or WebP for a smaller file.

What happens when my images are different sizes?

You choose: Match heights scales the photos to a common edge so they line up flush, and Keep original leaves each photo at its native resolution with the background showing around the smaller ones. Grid mode gives every photo an equal cell.

Can the background be transparent?

Yes. Turn on Transparent background and the gaps between the images stay see-through in the downloaded PNG or WebP instead of being filled with a color. JPG cannot store transparency, so it gets a white background.

How many images can I merge at once?

Up to 30 in one merge - enough to concatenate a long screenshot sequence or build a large grid. Order them with the arrows on each thumbnail.

Are my photos uploaded anywhere?
