Turn a quote into an image without design software. Type the quote, add the author if you want one, and the quote image maker sets it as a finished card: a large quotation mark, the words sized to fill the space, and the author under a short line. Nothing to drag or resize. A two-word motto comes out large and a whole paragraph comes out smaller, and the lines are balanced so you never get one lonely word on the last row. Pick a Style (classic serif, bold sans, handwritten or typewriter), a Size and a Background, and the preview on the left is exactly the picture you download.
This is also a quote maker with your own picture: choose Photo as the background, or drop a photo on the page, and the quote goes on top of your picture. The photo fills the whole card, cropped from the centre so there are no bars, and the Darken slider dims it until white text reads easily, even over a bright sky. You can switch back to a colour or a gradient at any time and the photo stays ready for later. If you want to write on a photo freely, place several text boxes or keep the photo's own size, add text to image is the tool for that, and the meme generator does top and bottom meme captions.
The Size menu has the four shapes quote posts use: square 1080 x 1080 for an Instagram or Facebook post, portrait 1080 x 1350 for a taller Instagram post or Pinterest, story 1080 x 1920 for Instagram, Facebook and WhatsApp stories or TikTok, and landscape 1200 x 675 for X (Twitter), LinkedIn and blog headers. The story size also makes a quote wallpaper for a phone lock screen, and the portrait one prints well as a small quote poster. The text re-fits itself for each shape. Under More options you can choose how the quotation marks look (large, inline or none), change the accent colour, add a thin frame and make the text smaller than the automatic fit.
The download is a PNG by default, which keeps the lettering crisp. JPG is smaller and is what most social apps convert to anyway, and WebP is smaller still. The file is named after the first words of your quote. On a phone you can share the picture straight to an app, and on a computer you can copy it and paste it into a post or a message.
The quote you type and the photo you pick never leave your device. The card is drawn in your browser, the fonts are loaded from this site only when you choose their style, and nothing is sent anywhere, so a personal note or a photo of someone you love stays yours.
A quote generator hands you someone else's words on a stock background. This quote creator starts from the words you type and makes the graphic around them: the type, the layout and the background are designed, and you choose each of them.
The tool tries font sizes until the quote, the quotation mark and the author line fill the card without crossing the margin, then re-wraps each line to an even width. Longer quotes get smaller text automatically, and the Text size slider under More options can shrink it further.
