This signature maker gives you a signature you can place on a PDF, a contract, a letter or an email footer in two ways. Draw turns the white pad into a sheet of paper: sign with your finger on a phone, with a mouse or trackpad on a computer, or with a stylus on a tablet. Type writes your name in a handwriting style instead, for when a drawn signature keeps coming out shaky. Either way the result downloads as a picture of your signature on a transparent background, cut tight around the ink, ready to drop onto a document without a white box around it.
The pad smooths every stroke into a curve and changes the line with your speed, the way a real pen does: a quick flourish comes out thin and a slow stroke comes out full, so the result looks written rather than traced. Pick the ink under Ink (Black, Blue, Dark blue, or the swatch for any other colour) and the line under Pen (Fine, Medium or Bold). Both apply to the whole signature, so you can sign first and choose afterwards. Undo takes back the last stroke only, and Clear starts again (Undo brings a cleared signature back). The page does not scroll while your finger is on the pad. On a phone, turn it sideways or press the fullscreen button for a bigger pad.
Switch to Type, write your name, and every handwriting font shows a preview in your own name. Tap the one that looks like you. There are eight: flowing scripts like Great Vibes and Allura, quick signature hands like Mrs Saint Delafield and Herr Von Muellerhoff, and more casual ones like Dancing Script and Homemade Apple. The fonts load only when you open Type, and the download always waits for the chosen one, so the file is never written in a stand-in font.
Download PNG saves the signature on a transparent background, trimmed to the ink with a small margin. It is drawn again from the recorded strokes at three times the size of the pad, so it stays sharp when you scale it up in a document, even if you signed on a small phone screen. Some upload forms refuse PNG: choose JPG from the arrow beside the button and the signature is saved on a plain white background. The copy button puts the signature on the clipboard to paste straight into a document, and on a phone the result screen can share it.
Exam, job and bank application forms often want a signature at an exact size, such as 140 x 60 pixels and 10 to 20 KB. Make your signature here, then open it in Resize Signature, which fits it to the pixels and KB the form asks for. The same page cleans up a signature you photographed on paper.
