The converter reads what Photoshop actually writes: RGB, CMYK, Grayscale, Indexed, Bitmap, Duotone, Lab and Multichannel color modes at 8, 16 and 32 bits per channel, RAW, RLE and ZIP compressed data, and both classic PSD and large-format PSB containers. CMYK and Lab documents are converted to RGB for the image output. Files saved without a flattened preview still convert - the visible layers are stacked to rebuild the composite, and the page tells you when that approximation is in play.
