A radar chart, also called a spider chart or web chart, puts several qualities on axes that spread out from the centre, so one shape shows a whole profile: a player's speed, strength and stamina, a product's price, quality and support, a candidate's skills. Each row of the table is one axis, with the quality's name in the first column; each further column is one subject, drawn as a see-through shape in its own colour. You need at least three rows to make a shape.
The rings of the web are round steps from zero up to the highest score, labelled along the top axis, and the axis names sit just outside the web. A bigger shape means higher scores; where two shapes cross, one subject beats the other on some qualities and not on others, which is what the radar chart is best at showing. With Values on, every point shows its score.
Paste a table from Excel or Google Sheets into the top-left cell, or drop a CSV file on the page. Scores on the same scale work best, for example all out of 10. To compare just one number per item, a bar graph is clearer; for parts of a whole in a circle there is the polar area chart. Every type is on the chart maker.
