An empty sudoku grid is for copying a puzzle out of the newspaper to solve in pencil, for working a hard puzzle again from scratch, for setting your own, and for the classroom: 4×4 and 6×6 grids are how children meet the game. This sudoku grid maker prints them. Choose the grid - the classic 9×9 with bold 3×3 boxes, 4×4 with 2×2 boxes, 6×6 with 2×3 boxes, or the 12×12 "dodeka" with 3×4 boxes - and how many go on a page: one large grid for solving, two or four for a session, six small ones for a competition sheet or a lesson. Grids are laid out to fill the paper with an 8 mm gap between them, box lines heavy and cell lines fine, in black, blue or grey, on A4, A3, A5, Letter, Legal or Tabloid, portrait or landscape.
The PDF is drawn as vectors in millimetres with the sheet size in its page box, so it prints crisp on any printer, and one grid on A4 comes out 182 mm square with 20 mm cells - big enough for pencilled candidates in the corners. The PNG and JPG are rendered at 300 DPI (200 on A3 and Tabloid) with that resolution written into the file. The Print button opens the print dialog with the paper already set; the details card on the sheet shows the cell size for the layout you picked. Pages puts up to 20 identical sheets into one PDF and one print run; the PNG and JPG are always a single sheet.
The same engine draws the rest of the set - graph paper in any grid, 5 mm, 1 cm, 1/4 inch, 1/2 inch, 1 inch, 10 per inch, dot grid, isometric, polar graph paper, lined paper and music staff paper - every one a vector PDF at true size. They are all listed on the printable paper page.
The grids are drawn on your device and the PDF is written by the page itself. Nothing is uploaded or stored, and the page keeps working offline once loaded.

One, two, four or six, chosen with Grids per page. Two are stacked on a portrait sheet, four sit in a 2×2 block, six in 2×3; in landscape the layout turns with the paper. Cells shrink as the count grows - six 9×9 grids on A4 have 9 mm cells, still fine for a pen.
4×4 grids have 2×2 boxes, 6×6 grids have boxes 2 rows by 3 columns, 9×9 the familiar 3×3, and 12×12 boxes 3 rows by 4 columns. The bold lines follow those boxes, so every grid reads correctly for its variant.
